Tara Rowland (B.Phty)

After graduating from Otago University with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy Tara moved to Melbourne to begin working in a well established Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Clinic on the Mornington Peninsula. From working with a wide range of patients and with local athletes in Mornington Tara has decided to further pursue her passion for sports physiotherapy and has recently joined the team at Lakeside Sports Medicine Centre.

Tara’s experiences have included triage and match day coverage for the Mornington Peninsula Football League as well as Manawatu Rugby Union teams where she has enjoyed working closely with the athletes to manage acute injuries and help with injury prevention.

Completing her first half marathon this year has confirmed Tara’s interests in the biomechanics of running and running injuries. Tara is also looking to incorporate her experience in Clinical Pilates into rehabilitation and management of postural and core stability related conditions.
